Research for software engineering

RESEARCH THAT SHAPES DEFENSE.

Research helps ANTI PRB develop defensive cybersecurity software. We study software integrity, execution boundaries, and security validation to guide engineering decisions. Future directions remain research, not deployed product features.

01

DEFENSIVE SOFTWARE INTEGRITY

Security-sensitive software must be able to rely on the integrity of the components and policy decisions on which it depends. Research in this area asks how those dependencies can be identified, checked, and maintained when the surrounding environment is under pressure.

Those findings inform defensive software design without implying that any one mechanism is universally sufficient.

02

PRIVILEGED EXECUTION BOUNDARIES

Ordinary applications, privileged services, and operating-system components operate with different authority. Understanding where authority changes hands is essential to limiting unintended access and evaluating the consequences of a boundary failure.

ANTI PRB studies these questions to inform defensive software engineering, with attention to least privilege and explicit trust relationships.

03

KERNEL-COMPROMISE RESILIENCE

Future research direction

A long-term research direction is to investigate selected security guarantees that do not depend exclusively on the integrity of the normal operating-system kernel.

This is an aspiration for inquiry. ANTI PRB does not present kernel-compromise resilience as a capability available today.

04

HARDWARE-ROOTED TRUST

Future research direction

Firmware integrity, measured boot, TPMs, secure boot, and hardware-backed isolation may provide useful anchors for security reasoning. Each technology also has limits, operational dependencies, and deployment tradeoffs.

Exploring those questions is a future research direction; no hardware-rooted protection guarantee is claimed here.

05

SECURITY VALIDATION

Controlled, authorized testing exposes weaknesses in defensive software before they become product claims. Adversarial evaluation helps engineers understand failure conditions and improve the design.

Results and limits should be clear enough for independent assessment.
